Renewable Energy is among the highest state and federal priorities and the capacity of wind, solar, geothermal, and biomass systems,
and the production of biofuels including ethanol and biodiesel to generate new jobs along with clean energy has now been widely
recognized.  Through its early work in the renewable energy arena and recent research into a number of renewable energy
technologies,
REDDI has identified a significant regional economic development opportunity in the renewable energy cluster.  Based
on its work in renewable and economic development,
REDDI has proposed a broad definition of the renewable energy industry
cluster that includes direct production of renewable energy; the logistics and support industries that supply and support renewable
energy producers; and the manufacturing of components and systems for renewable energy production facilities both nationally and
globally.

REDDI sees enormous potential based on the region’s existing competitive advantage in manufacturing.  This view has been
confirmed by a wide range of industry and institutional partners through a series of meetings throughout the region.  Our efforts led
to the establishment of an industry partnership with the
South Central Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board, the
Manufacturers Association of South Central Pennsylvania, and MANTEC, a Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center.  Through
the partnership, REDDI intends to enhance the region’s competitive advantage in the manufacture of components and systems for
renewable energy and the production of renewable energy and alternative fuels and is very pleased to announce the creation of
Pennergy Source.

Pennergy Source is a diverse group of manufacturing companies in South Central Pennsylvania, each with expertise, modern
production equipment, and a proven track record or producing a wide range of energy system components.  For years,
Pennergy
Source
companies have been manufacturing for Wind, Nuclear, Geothermal, Biofuels, Solar, Hydro-electric, and Energy Efficient
Lighting markets.  If you're looking for source components for your energy system or reduce energy consumption, consider
contacting them.
