Technique 1
Practice, practice, and practice: It is the first key to learning. When you practice repeatedly you have imbibed the learning into your system. A science concept, a mathematical equation, a zoology, botany, or chemistry diagram, a historical date, a geography map, a language syntax, or a poem appreciation that requires you to either use or reproduce in the exam requires you to practice till you get it into your head, heart, and hand. The three human organs should work together during those few hours of the CBSE final examinations.
Technique 2
Be Updated on Syllabus: Know your CBSE syllabus well. What is mentioned in a few words in the syllabus book or the text book may not explain everything that is going to be questioned in the examinations. It is relevant to any subject from languages to math’s and science and also to great extent in social studies. Understand the relevance of the syllabus by asking questions during learning in the classroom or if you are part of online e learning center. We are talking about syllabus not the portion mentioned in the text book though it is the extension of the syllabus. That will clarify a lot of doubts and confusion about what you are going to learn.
Technique 3
Time Allocation for Subjects: Distribute you self-learning time plan evenly among maths on one side and the other subjects on the other. Suppose you have 4 hours to study on your own. Distribute 2 hours to practice math sums and the other 2 hours to study other subjects. Math’s requires a lot of writing and solving whereas other subjects require a focused reading. Provide a minimum of 35-45 minutes for every study session.
Technique 4
Time Management: Any exams CBSE or AIEE is a Race against Time. Charity begins at home! Try to practice managing time by give yourself specific time for studying and solving as part of your studies. Do not try to exceed the allotted hours for each activity like whether you doing the school homework or solving a quiz at an online e learning center.
Technique 5
Journaling: Keep writing what you have studied every day about each subject. That will help you keep track of evenly distributing time evenly for all subjects and also help focus on weak areas as go ahead with the plan of studies.
Technique 6
Get hold of the past years question paper bank of the CBSE Board exams. They are freely available. Develop a collection of questions paper sets for each subject to provide for your practice. Slot all the questions asked on a lesson or concept as it suits and try to solve after learning. Leave out questions which can’t be answered. Try to solve them later with textbook and notes after attempting the self evaluation.
Technique 7
When you are attempting the final CBSE examination read the question paper thoroughly before you start writing the answers. Sometime you miss a not’ and leave the hall answering the right opposite of what is asked. Allot time for each answer and stick to the schedule. Do not get your thoughts to sway in attempting an essay or trying to describe an event in social studies they may not increase marks in the exams.
